Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA) has been providing safe, customer-focused service to the citizens of Berks County since 1973 and is seeking applicants for full-time shared ride operators.
Valid PA Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history report from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles is required, along with experience in customer service. Must also be able to pass D.O.T. pre-employment physical and D.O.T. drug and alcohol testing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.18 per hour

Tech II Diesel Mechanic
Berks Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA) is currently accepting applications for a FULL-TIME TECH II DIESEL MECHANIC. Cummins engine and strong electrical experience a plus. Must have own tools. Class “B” CDL required with air brake and passenger endorsements, plus a valid state inspection license Class 3.
This is a safety sensitive function for the Authority subject to DOT drug testing requirements.
This position may require working nights and weekends.
BARTA provides uniforms, a tool allowance of $525 per year, as well as an excellent starting salary with shift differential, pension and medical benefits with low employee contribution.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement, Air Brake restriction lifted, experience in customer service and a min. 2 yrs. driving exp. required. Must also be able to pass D.O.T. pre-employment physical and D.O.T. drug and alcohol testing.
BARTA offers an excellent benefit package along with a starting rate of $26.36.
