Fare Increase and Public Hearing Notice
The South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) will hold a public hearing regarding a fare increase for BARTA Special Services that is scheduled to take effect August 1, 2026.
The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 1700 North 11th Street, Reading, PA 19601. Customers and members of the public are invited to participate in-person or virtually and provide comments on the proposed fare increase.

The fare schedule is available for review at the BARTA Administrative Office, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
