BARTA has transitioned to Mobile Phone and Smart Card payments. BARTA is no longer selling paper, or magnetic strip passes. Customers can either use their Mobile Phones or can use a BARTA Go Mobile Smart Card. At the present time, BARTA is still accepting paper, magnetic passes for customer fares at the farebox.
All passes purchased online will be loaded onto a BARTA Go Mobile Smart Card. After the customer receives their smart card and uses it, customers can visit the BARTA Go mobile portal to reload their card with future purchases.

You just insert your pass into the farebox to deduct the ride. The Half-Fare 10 Ride passes are for those who have qualified for the Half- Fare Persons with Disabilities Program.
