If you receive Medical Assistance from the Department of Welfare, you may be eligible for transportation to medical appointments on BARTA Special Services. Passengers who receive Medical Assistance and are able to ride BARTA Buses are eligible for a bus pass when they ride to medical appointments on the regular BARTA bus system. For individuals who are hearing impaired, BARTA encourages customers to use the PA Relay Service. The service can be accessed by calling 711, free of charge.
