Starting on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, construction is expected to begin on County Welfare Road which may close the road. BARTA will detour The Route 17/Glenside/Airport/Berks Heim bus route during this construction. Here is the detour:
Outbound Detour:
County Welfare Road
Left on Hilltop Road
Right on Reber Bridge Road
Right on Palisades
Right on County Welfare Road
Regular Route
Inbound Detour:
County Welfare Road
Right on Hilltop Road
Left Reber Bridge Road
Bear right to stay on Reber Bridge. Follow to stop sign. Cross County Welfare Road to Regular Route.
It is unknown at this time how long the road will be closed.
