REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Berks Area Reading
Transportation Authority (BARTA), is seeking proposals
from qualified RETAIL/COMMERCIAL BUSINESSES to become PARTNERS with BARTA in
the DEVELOPMENT and LEASE of SPACE available at the Franklin Street
Station. Proposals will be accepted at BARTA's offices at 1700 North 11th,
All proposals and
agreements are subject to all applicable federal and state laws and to a
financial assistance contract between BARTA, the Federal Transit Administration
and
Development/Lease
Partners will be required to comply with all applicable Non-Discrimination and
Non-Collusion laws and regulations and to certify that they are not on the
Comptroller General's list of ineligible contractors.
BARTA solicits and
encourages disadvantaged business enterprise participation. DBE's shall be afforded full consideration of
their response and will not be subject to discrimination.
A
voluntary pre-proposal meeting shall be held at
BARTA reserves the right
to postpone, to accept or reject any and all proposals, in whole or in part, or
to waive informalities as it deems to be in its best interest.
